The powerful sound will make your Wedding unique and memorable. Pipers have been entertaining guests at Weddings for centuries. Not only do we add great background music, but a piper kitted out in full regalia turns heads at any event. A piper is also an attractive extra in photographs and I am more than happy to have my pictures taken with any of the guests.

First taught by my uncle Pipe major Jimmy Mackenzie from Helensburgh, from the age of 8, I went on to train at the Guards Depot Piping School, the centre of excellence for all Scots Guards and Irish Guards pipers.

Since leaving that Army I have performed at over 1000 weddings across the UK and overseas.

No person or organisation does ‘Ceremony’ quite like ‘The Guards’ and after a 14-year career in The Scots Guards the word ceremony is ingrained in my DNA. Couple that with several years spent managing functions and events in the officer’s mess, often hosting royalty and other VIPs, and you are provided with the consummate professional.

Many venues tell you that they provide a master of ceremonies within their packages. At most venues of course you don’t actually get a free Master of Ceremonies, what you get is a member of staff (usually the Duty Manager) who is tasked with making your announcements – also whilst ensuring food service is on time, the bar is running properly and several other jobs. This means that they are not fully focused on you – the happy couple – especially in a busy hotel where they might be the only manager on duty.

​Unobtrusive, well versed in all forms of etiquette and protocol, I am always on hand to deal with any issues or hiccups that may arise leaving you with the freedom and confidence to relax, mingle with your guests and enjoy your big day.

​I don’t plan your wedding, you do that. I manage it on the day though alongside making your announcements – liaising with your venue and other suppliers to ensure that everything goes according to your plans allowing you to relax and mingle you’re your guests safe in the knowledge that the day is being steered and guided according to your wishes.
